The Encounter

"Last December was truly wonderful, and it was all because you were a part of it. The story unfolded like this: it was Christmas, I had just been scolded by my mom for something I can't quite recall now, and needless to say, I was feeling frustrated. The harsh harmattan wind relentlessly banged against the window, adding to the chaotic atmosphere inside the house.

Craving some fresh air, I hastily made my way to the door and dashed outside. I plugged in my earphones, immersing myself in the melodious tune of 'tis the damn season' by Taylor Swift because the season was damned. I was walking to God knows where, when the gusting wind swept my baseball cap from my head, creating a sudden commotion. It was in that moment that I caught sight of your captivating smile as you handed me my cap. A wave of warmth washed over me, leaving an indelible impression.

Reflecting on that special moment, I realize that I may never experience such a profound connection again. It takes me back to the first line of this piece, where I confidently state that 'last December was truly wonderful, and it was all because you were a part of it."
